What Stoke is
Stoke is a software-as-a-service product that helps first-time founders walk from idea to launched business, with AI-assisted journey steps for naming, branding, building a landing site, marketing, pricing, market research, and funding. By using Stoke you agree to these terms.
Your account
You need an account to use most of the product. You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe. Tell us right away if your account gets compromised so we can help shut it down.
What you can and can’t do
You CAN use Stoke for any lawful business idea, including ones you eventually decide not to pursue. You can copy and own everything Stoke generates for you (logo, site, copy, plans).
You CAN’T use Stoke to:
- Generate content that infringes someone else’s trademark, copyright, or other IP.
- Build something illegal, deceptive, or designed to harm others.
- Spam, harvest data, or otherwise abuse the platform.
- Resell Stoke’s AI access as a product (i.e. wrap our LLM endpoints in your own thing).
- Reverse-engineer the product or attempt to extract our prompts or internal model configuration.
What we generate for you, you own
Logos, site HTML, marketing playbooks, names, copy, anything else Stoke produces from your journey is yours to use commercially. You assume the risk of any third-party IP that might overlap (we provide an automated trademark check but it’s not legal advice).
Billing
- The free tier lets you walk the journey and preview a generated site without registering a domain.
- Paid plans bill monthly or annually via Stripe. You can cancel anytime from your account.
- If you cancel mid-billing-cycle, you keep access until the cycle ends; we don’t pro-rate refunds for partial periods.
- If a payment fails, we’ll retry the card a few times before suspending the account; we’ll email you each step.
Domains
If you register a domain through Stoke, it’s yours, registered in your name. Annual renewal is included in paid plans. If you cancel, we’ll send you the transfer auth code so you can move the domain to any registrar you like. We won’t hold your domain hostage. After 30 days post-cancellation we stop renewing it on your behalf; if you ignore the reminders and let it expire, that’s on you.
AI output is best-effort
The AI parts of Stoke (chat, naming, brand, site generation, marketing playbooks, etc.) are best-effort and probabilistic. Verify anything important — especially trademarks, legal claims, technical recommendations, and financial estimates — before acting on it. The AI is a strong assistant, not a substitute for professional advice.
No warranties; limitation of liability
Stoke is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Our total liability to you for any claim related to the product is capped at the greater of $100 or the amount you’ve paid us in the last 12 months. This cap doesn’t apply where the law forbids it.
Ending things
You can stop using Stoke anytime by canceling and (optionally) requesting account deletion. We can suspend or terminate accounts that materially violate these terms — we’ll email you first and give a chance to remedy unless the violation is serious enough that we can’t.
Changes
We’ll email everyone with an account before any meaningful change to these terms. Continuing to use Stoke after the change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Jefferson County, Kentucky.
